Is your pet stressed out?

Our pets are amazing creatures. They offer us companionship, comfort, and unconditional love when we need it most. That’s why most of us will do almost anything to make sure they are comfortable and healthy. We make sure they have all of the same comforts we do: good food, excellent dental and physical care, lots of fun toys, and a safe happy place to live. Still there is more we can do for them. Have you ever considered stress reduction for your pet? Remember back to the last thing you did to ease your own stress… how relaxed and happy you were afterwards. There is a tool out there called Quantum Biofeedback that can be used as stress reduction for both you and your pet. Quantum Biofeedback is a technologically advanced interface born out of traditional biofeedback that can ease the stresses that face almost all pets: environmental conditions, weather exposure, food additives, emotional issues, and a great dislike for any major change like travel or their owner being gone all day at work.

Quantum Biofeedback uses a highly sophisticated device called the SCIO/EPFX to read your pet’s physiological reaction to the frequency of over 9000 different items. This safe, non-invasive process takes place at your home while your pet goes about their daily routine by way of a “virtual” session with a Certified Biofeedback Specialist. The Specialist runs the program from their office, calibrates to your pet and the session can last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. After the “testing” phase is over, the SCIO/EPFX returns the findings to the Specialist who then acts as an analyst and coach informing you about the stresses your pet is undergoing and what you can do about them while also delivery stress reduction therapy to your animal. You see, everyday both you and your pet are exposed to stresses of many kinds: emotional, spiritual, magnetic, electrical, and nutritional just to name a few, but most of us live life unaware of the strain these things put on our immune systems and the natural functioning of our bodies and minds. With the SCIO/EPFX, there is a way to administer amazing therapy that can bring the body and mind of your beloved furry friend back to a healthy balance.

Because our pets cannot verbally communicate with us how they are feeling or if they are stressed out, the SCIO/EPFX is truly a window into what is going on in their little world. Owners who currently use Quantum Biofeedback to reduce the stress in their pet’s lives find that the therapy is so beneficial to the overall quality of life of their pets they often try a session for themselves if they are not already clients. They report more calm, less erratic behavior in their animals and are happy that they are able to do one more good thing for their most loved companions. If you’re ready to give it a try and treat your pet to better health and less stress, contact a Certified Biofeedback Specialist today for a Quantum Biofeedback session.

Today’s quote…

Whew, things are really heating up here in the Valley and at the center! I’ve been so busy lately with our new facials (hint hint) that I’ve not been by in a while. So, what better way to come back than with a quote? :) Here’s a great one I found tonight. Remember, if you see a quote here or anywhere that really strikes a chord with you, post it somewhere you see often so you can meditate on it and really understand why it is so special to you… Cheers everyone!

All Natural Hair Treatment for Damaged/Dry Strands…

Good Evening!  I was on the Natural Health Magazine site tonight (which I love) and saw this…

Hair Care

Try this scalp treatment to restore fragile or damaged strands.

This rosemary-citron scalp treatment, designed by Barbara Close, founder of Naturopathica and author of Pure Skin, Organic and Beauty Basics (Chronicle, 2005), is especially good for fragile or damaged hair: Rosemary stimulates the scalp; avocado—rich in fatty acids and vitamins A, B, and C—helps condition hair; and grapefruit provides an uplifting scent. You will need:
½ ounce avocado oil
4 drops rosemary essential oil
5 drops grapefruit essential oil
3 drops cedar essential oil
½ ounce glass bottle
Fill a glass bottle halfway with avocado oil. Add essential oils, cover, and shake well. Fill bottle with remaining avocado oil. Cover and shake a second time. Pour oil into palm of hand and massage mixture into scalp and hair.

For more information on scalp treatments, look for the July/August 2007 issue of Natural Health. Share your hair care stories with us at the Natural Health forum.

Are you throwing away the best part of the apple?

Hi everyone,

I just returned from a vacation in Southern California.  Hope you all didn’t miss me too much :) .  Anyhow, I found that the produce there (we were living on nectarines and peaches) was so much better than it was here.  That’s why when I found this article this morning I thought it was somewhat appropriate. :)   You know what they say about an apple a day…

Traditionally, apple peels have been considered healthy because of their fiber content, as the peel contains about 75 percent of the dietary fiber in an apple.

But a recent study has shown that the peel also contains most of the beneficial phytochemicals responsible for apples’ anticarcinogenic effects.

Scientists processed more than 200 pounds of Red Delicious apples, and extracted phytochemicals from about 24 pounds of peel. They screened the compounds for anti-cancer effects in laboratory cultures of human liver, breast, and colon cancer cells, and identified a group of compounds with potent anti-cancer properties.

Specifically, 13 triterpenoids from the peels of Red Delicious apples were identified and confirmed to be highly effective against cancer. Exactly how and why these biochemicals seek and destroy cancer cells is still unknown.

Apple consumption has previously been linked to a reduced risk of lung cancer, heart disease, and stroke.

BETTER HEALTH THROUGH EMOTIONAL BALANCING

Do you find yourself feeling not quite up to par when you’re emotionally stressed out?  Does it sometimes seems like a coincidence that you come down with the flu at the same time that something monumentally emotional is happening in your life?  Often this is the body giving you the message to relax before more serious issues start.  The human body is amazing that way – it sends out messages about it’s own well being that we are not always aware of on a conscious level.
That is why the EPFX/SCIO is such an amazing alternative therapy technology.  This device has the largest medical software program in the world that interfaces with a person’s subconscious and enables a person to make contact with their emotions in a tangible way. It is incredibly powerful in identifying and reducing the emotional stress on the body so that it functions better and finds a pathway to natural healing.  It does this by reaching a person on the subconscious level allowing them to see the issues they as yet may not be aware of themselves.  It then goes a step further to help balance the emotions and the physical manifestations of those issues with a variety of virtual Homeopathic, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Neuro-Linguistic programs all while the person is relaxing quietly and comfortably.
People who use the EPFX/SCIO system or any other methods of holistic therapy to help balance their emotions often begin the therapy unaware of the harm their out of control emotions are causing to their bodies.  The human body cannot operate at peak performance when it’s being made to endure the swings of our incredibly powerful emotions. Our immunity suffers, we can’t sleep and then more serious illnesses and diseases begin to manifest. The EPFX/SCIO helps to identify which emotions are out of balance and contributing to overall stress.   The practitioner can communicate the findings to a person and this assists in greater awareness and ultimately in better health.  This is truly an important step in rectifying the issue before it becomes a chronic problem.  Once the emotion is identified and awareness begins, healing will follow.  Even emotions that have been an issue for years as well as the physical ailments that are related to them can be addressed with the energy medicine the EPFX/SCIO offers.  Since it reaches the client on a subconscious level, it can help unravel the issues that the client can’t effect in their conscious mind.
Of course, the EPFX/SCIO is also useful for a variety of other conditions.  It can be used to perform therapy on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Diabetes, Depression, Insomnia, and many other conditions which benefit from the body having as little stress as possible.  Stress on the body, regardless of whether it’s emotional, physical, mental, spiritual, or environmental can cause the body to impede healing. The importance of regular stress reduction through emotional balancing begins to make a significant impact that a person can actually feel over time. Taking care of the emotional stress is step in the right direction.  Our emotional well-being is just as important to our physical health as taking supplements or exercising.  Take charge of your emotions through regular stress reduction exercises, meditation and the ultimate experience of a stress reduction Quantum Biofeedback  session with a qualified certified Biofeedback Specialist.

Foods that can be harmful for your skin…

Hi everyone, I saw a list today at yahoo.com that caught my eye.  It was a list of foods that commonly cause skin irritation when eaten.  I thought this might be useful for anyone suffering from any unexplained rashes or skin issues.  Here’s the list…

Cow’s milk
Eggs
Peanuts
Tree nuts (cashews, walnuts, almonds, etc.)
Shellfish
Soy
Wheat
Red wine
Citrus (limes, oranges, et al.)
Tomatoes
Hot spices, such as chili seasonings

So, look to those items first if you think it’s a food related issue.  Also, don’t forget that we can gain a lot of insight into many stressors like food allergies and sensitivities using the SCIO and Quantum Biofeedback.   So don’t hesitate to book an assessment session if you would like some information about what’s currently going on with you.

Have a great night everyone!  Shari :)

Are you ready to Quit?

Quitting any habit is hard, but throw in a physiological and emotional addiction and what you have is an almost impossible task.  Every year thousands of people try to quit smoking.  Most of these people will attempt to quit 2 or 3 times and try a different method each time before they actually succeed.  So, why is it so hard to quit?  What a lot of smokers don’t understand is the cycle of addiction in which they are caught.  The nicotine found in cigarettes activates the pleasure pathways in the brain and also increases the level of dopamine which makes the smoker experience a satisfying feeling of well-being, however fleeting.  Because that feeling doesn’t last a dependence is created where withdrawal from the nicotine causes the smoker to feel moody and unhappy.  The only thing that will quickly alleviate that bad feeling is to have another cigarette.  This is a very hard cycle to break with any addiction, not just nicotine.  It is being discovered, however, that managing one’s stress can make a big impact on the success rate of any smoker who wants to quit.  If you lessen the stress felt by the smoker, the withdrawal symptoms are easier to handle and the need for the “high” achieved by the nicotine are not as necessary to get them through their day.

There are many ways for those who want to quit to lessen their stress, one of the most powerful is called Quantum Biofeedback. Quantum Biofeedback is a technologically advanced interface developed out of traditional biofeedback.  It can deliver therapy to reduce multiple kinds of stress, meaning the smoker has a greater chance of successfully ending their nicotine addiction cycle. Quantum Biofeedback uses a highly sophisticated device called the SCIO/EPFX to read the body’s physiological reaction at the subconscious level to the frequencies of over 10000 different items. This safe, non-invasive process takes place at the office of a Certified Biofeedback Specialist. The client is “linked” to the SCIO/EPFX by way of a safe, comfortable headband and a chair pad that rests where the client is seated for the duration of the session.  After the “testing” phase is over, the SCIO/EPFX returns the findings to the Specialist who then acts as an analyst and coach informing the client of their current stressors so that they can take steps to reduce them. Because the SCIO/EPFX is communicating with the subconscious mind, the effect of the therapy can be very deep and incredibly powerful.

Quantum Biofeedback is a very effective complimentary therapy to any smoking cessation program.  Also, after the smoker has quit, the therapy delivered by the SCIO/EPFX can actually help the body recover from the harmful effects that the cigarettes had over the duration of the smoker’s addiction.  By helping the body manage the stress of quitting and then alleviate the overall stress on the body’s organs and systems, it is easier for natural detoxifying processes to do what they are meant to and clear the body of the harmful substances smoking cigarettes introduces into the system. An incredibly effective, proactive, and empowering stress reduction tool such as Quantum Biofeedback can have long-lasting effects on nicotine addiction and help those who want to quit actually achieve it and stay a non-smoker for life.
